Gujarat Road Accident Victims Compensation Scheme

 Gujarat Government has started Road Accident Victim Compensation Scheme 2018.  Under this scheme, the state government will provide free treatment up to Rs 50,000 in the first 48 hours to all road accident victims.  The scheme will be applicable to all residents of Gujarat or victims of road accidents in the state. The victims will be admitted to any government or private hospital in the state for treatment.

This scheme is a big step of the state government.  Reducing the number of deaths due to accidents.  Providing timely and best available treatment to the victims during the golden hours after the accident will not harm the lives of the people.

 The intention of the state government.  The road is clearly to help people who are experiencing accidents anywhere in Gujarat.

Accident help is available anywhere in the state

 An important announcement was made by the Gujarat government at a time when road accidents are on the rise in the state.  According to which if a person from the state is injured in a road accident, the government is going to give Rs 50,000 for treatment at the nearest government or private hospital.

 Road Accident Victims Compensation Scheme in Gujarat

 The important and key features of this compensation plan are as follows.

 Victims of road accidents will be able to get free treatment at any government hospital or private hospital.

 All expenses up to Rs 50,000 will be reimbursed by the state government in the first 48 hours in any hospital.

 Residents of Gujarat as well as people from other states and people from other countries who have been the victims of accidents for this scheme will get the benefit of this scheme.  But the accident must have happened in the state of Gujarat.  There is also no income measure attached to this scheme.

 The primary objective is to provide timely and optimal quality treatment to the victims to reduce the risk to their lives as the first 48 hours are important for accident victims.

 The scheme will also change the people's intentions to transfer the victims to the government.  Hospitals that sometimes do not provide quality treatment.  Now, people can accept such victims directly to the nearest hospital (private or government) with specialist doctors and other necessary facilities regardless of the cost.

 Ambulance operators will also be instructed to accept the road accident victim to the nearest best hospital at the scene of the road accident.

 Accident victims will get up to Rs 50,000 from the state government to private hospitals in the first 48 hours.

 The scheme will be monitored at the state level

 The injured person will get all kinds of treatment in 48 hours and so the government will give this amount to the hospital for the purpose of saving his life.  The benefit of this scheme will be given to anyone.  With full oversight of the scheme from the state level, the government has allocated Rs 30 crore for the year 2018-19.

 What is included in the treatment plan

 These include dressing, stabilization, fracture stabilization, respiratory condition, X-ray, trauma operation, CT scan, MRI, ultrasound, blood transfusion, head injury treatment and operation, intimate treatment unit (ICU), abdominal and muscle injuries.  The cost of such treatment is included.

 The person affected by this accident will be made available in any private hospital, district-taluka hospitals, medical colleges-hospitals or other public or private hospital.  Accident patients do not have to pay for first aid.  Private hospitals should not charge a patient for 48 hours of first aid.  Hospitals in Khalang will have to submit a bill of treatment to the concerned district officer or doctor superintendent, and hence a private hospital will be paid up to Rs 50,000 for the bill.
