Mukhya mantri Gram Swanirbhar yojana

6,000 new houses will be constructed for all under the housing scheme, for which a provision of Rs. 1100 crore

 Ahmedabad: The Chief Minister Mahila Utkarsh Yojana was announced in the state budget by the Finance Minister and it was stated in the House that a total of Rs.  Announcing a new scheme called Mukhyamantri Mahila Utkarsh Yojana, the Finance Minister said that under this scheme, if women from rural and urban areas form a women's upliftment group and get a loan of up to Rs 21 lakh, the full interest will be paid directly by the state government to banks.

In this, Mahila Utkarsh Group will get loan at zero percent rate which will give a new impetus to women for self-employment.  A total of Rs 15 crore has been provided for providing interest assistance under this scheme.  To provide facilities like school, school room, smart class, anganwadi, crematorium, hospital, road, drinking water tank, village lake, sewerage system, community toilet, library, community hall, panchayat house etc.  The matching amount equal to the donation amount will be added by the state government for which a provision of Rs.500 crore has been made.

 Solid and liquid waste management is essential for maintaining cleanliness in the village.  For solid waste management, cleaning equipment like tricycles and hand carts will be provided to 14 gram panchayats of the state.  7 water treatment plants will be set up in about 50 gram panchayats for the management of such waste liquid waste for which a total provision of Rs. 31 crore has been made.

 Under the Gujarat Government's scheme for solid waste collection through door-to-door collection, all the Gram Panchayats are currently given a grant of Rs. 2 per person per month instead of Rs.  Beneficiary contribution of Rs.2000 / - will be provided by the State Government against Rs.2000 / - for setting up of new sanctioned accommodation as well as bathroom facilities in rural areas.  For which a provision of Rs. 50 crore has been made.

Announcing the Mukhya Mantri Gram Swanirbhar Yojana with the objective of creating permanent employment for the sisters in rural areas, he added that under this scheme, the sisters of self-help groups would be given assistance to buy grain and spice grinding bells.  For which a provision of Rs. 3 crore has been made.  A provision of Rs. 3 crore has been made to set up stalls for direct sale of manufactured goods at local fairs.

 In order to fulfill the noble intention of housing for all by 207, the construction of 3 lakh houses has been completed so far against the target of 5 lakh 11 thousand houses. Under this program, 4 thousand new houses will be constructed.  For which a provision of Rs. 1100 crore has been made.
